The Writing Clubroom – Terms and Conditions

By joining our website, submitting writing, or taking part in activities, you agree to the following
simple terms. These terms exist to keep the community kind, safe, and fair for everyone.

  1. Community Conduct
    The Writing Clubroom is a peaceful, supportive space. Members agree to:
  • be respectful and kind in all interactions
  • avoid harmful, abusive, or discriminatory language
  • give constructive, gentle feedback when invited
  • not submit illegal, plagiarised, or harmful material
  • respect the privacy and boundaries of others
    We reserve the right to remove content or suspend membership where behaviour harms the
    community or goes against these principles.
  1. Creative Work and Submissions
    When you submit writing (e.g., competition entries, prompts, or shared work):
  • you keep full copyright of everything you create
  • you grant The Writing Clubroom a non-exclusive, revocable licence to display your work inside the
    community or in competitions/anthologies (we will always ask before wider publication)
  • you confirm that your submission is your own work
  • you agree not to upload anything unlawful, hateful, or harmful
    We will never sell or commercially exploit your work without your explicit permission.
  1. Membership and Payments
    Tier 1 membership (and future tiers) are subscription services.
  • Payments are processed securely via PayPal/Stripe
  • You may cancel at any time
  • If you cancel, access continues until the end of your paid period
  • Refunds are at the discretion of The Writing Clubroom (we aim to be fair and reasonable)
    Free membership remains free.
  1. Learning Materials and Courses
    All lessons, prompts, downloads, and resources provided by The Writing Clubroom are for personal
    use only. Please do not redistribute, resell, or publish our materials elsewhere.
  1. Limitation of Liability
    The Writing Clubroom offers educational and creative guidance only. We cannot guarantee specific
    outcomes from your writing or your learning. We do our best to keep the website online and secure,
    but we are not liable for temporary downtime, data loss caused by external providers, or user
    misuse of the platform.
    Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
